This is probably the most "avant-garde" piece that I have ever created. Inspired by Japanese Brocade origami, this piece was created by using the folds in the actual origami piece. Due to the nature of the construction, the garment was almost entirely hand sewn. In addition, I dyed the fabric to give it a fun and colorful look!  The top was made out of four squares of the origami brocade and the skirt was constructed out of the remaining two squares. The folds on the skirt were left loose as they make the skirt look quilted when they were sewn down.
