Color Story and Fabrics

Screenshot (16).png

Apart from the design of the garment, colors and fabrics contribute defining characteristics to a line. In addition, the choices made will help the consumer to create a stronger connection with the line.  Based on responses to market surveys, dark colors are preferred to lighter colors, as they do not show stains as well as lighter colors.  In this color story, several dark colors are juxtaposed against a few lighter colors to create contrast.  A more natural palette was chosen to create a more soothing effect. The market survey also revealed that nurses preferred stretch fabric as to stiffer materials to allow for comfort and movement.  Thus Feminine Genius will be using stretch lycra and jersey materials as a base to create a more comfortable fit. One fashion fabric, a fleece satin will be used as a lining on a few pieces to create a warmer garment to fend off the cold. All outer materials will be antibacterial and moisture wicking for the durability of the garment.
